Tenders must be received by 5:00 p.m. November 5, 2026.
A certified cheque to the municipality for 5% of the amount of the tender must accompany the tender. Tenders submitted without certified funds will not be considered. Highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
The successful bidder will have 30 days to provide the balance of the funds to complete the purchase. The deposit will be forfeited if the successful bidder does not finalize the agreement for sale within the required timeframe.
All legal costs, title transfer fees and applicable taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser and are in addition to the bid price.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
Under section 3.2 of the Zoning Bylaw all development in the RM of Fertile Valley No. 285 requires a development permit before any work can be done on any parcel of land.
Bidders are encouraged to visit the RM website www.fertilevalley.ca to review Zoning Bylaw No. 05-2022 with specific attention to the Hamlet District Schedule.
Lots 20, 21, 22 and 23, Block 2, Plan G408 carry a Building Restriction / Hazard Land designation under Section 4.2 (Development on Hazard Lands) of the Municipalities Zoning Bylaw No. 05-2022 and will require a topographic survey before a development permit can be issued.

Municipal Elections 2026
Whereas:
Bryce Mauch, nominated for Councillor Division No. 2;
Bob Silverthorn, nominated for Councillor Division No. 4; and
Bill Thompson, nominated for Councillor Division No. 6
are the only candidates for the respective offices,
I hereby give notice that no voting for the offices will take
place on November 9, 2026.

The Village of Conquest and RM of Fertile Valley will be using Emterra Environmental’s services to handle recycling.
The Emterra Bins in the Village of Conquest are located at the south end of Kirkton Street in the Conquest School yard. The bins are for use by Village of Conquest residents and R.M. of Fertile Valley No. 285 ratepayers.
The materials for recycling do NOT need to be sorted! “Don’t sort them. Don’t bag them. Just empty them and toss them in loose.”
Emterra Environmental – Single Stream Recycling Guide
ACCEPTED MATERIALS
Plastics – Plastics labeled #1-7 including bottles, lids, containers, take-out food containers, clamshells and trays, #5 and #6 single serve coffee pods. Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.
Glass – Glass bottles and jars (no sealer jars). Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.
PolyCoat – Boxed containers for beverages and soups. Rinsed and free of grease, good and other residue.
Metal – Tin food cans, lids and beverage containers, aluminum cans and foil. Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.
Paper – Newspaper, magazines, printed paper and shredded paper. Shredded paper in a clear plastic bag. This is the only item that should be bagged.
Cardboard – Corrugated cardboard, box board, paper board and cartons. No larger than 4’x4’x1’
NOT ACCEPTED MATERIALS
Overwrap and cellophane, styrofoam, electronics, scrap metals, steel pots and pans, batteries, plastics not labelled #1-7, plasticized or waxed materials, laminated materials, tissues and paper towel, mirrors, windows, broken glass, ceramics, Pyrex, lightbulbs, glass, drinking glasses, hazardous waste, wood waste.
