NOTICE OF PREPARATION OF ASSESSMENT ROLL
Rural Municipality of Fertile Valley No. 285

Notice is hereby given that the assessment roll
for the Rural Municipality of Fertile Valley No. 285
for the year 2023 has been prepared and is open to
inspection in the office of the Assessor from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following days:

Monday to Thursday,
March 20, 2023 to April 20, 2023

A bylaw pursuant to Section 214 of
The Municipalities Act has been passed and
the assessment notices have been sent as required.

Any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment
is required to file his or her notice of appeal, accompanied by
a $500.00 appeal fee, which will be returned if the appeal is
successful, with:

The Village of Conquest and RM of Fertile Valley will be using Emterra Environmental’s services to handle recycling.

The recycling bins are located on Kirkton Street just south of the Conquest Co-op. The materials for recycling do NOT need to be sorted!  “Don’t sort them. Don’t bag them. Just empty them and toss them in loose.”

ACCEPTED MATERIALS

Plastics – Plastics labeled #1-7 including bottles, lids, containers, take-out food containers, clamshells and trays, #5 and #6 single serve coffee pods.  Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.

Glass – Glass bottles and jars (no sealer jars).  Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.

PolyCoat – Boxed containers for beverages and soups.  Rinsed and free of grease, good and other residue.

Metal – Tin food cans, lids and beverage containers, aluminum cans and foil.  Rinsed and free of grease, food and other residue.

Paper – Newspaper, magazines, printed paper and shredded paper.  Shredded paper in a clear plastic bag.  This is the only item that should be bagged.

Cardboard – Corrugated cardboard, box board, paper board and cartons.  No larger than 4’x4’x1’

NOT ACCEPTED MATERIALS

Overwrap and cellophane, styrofoam, electronics, scrap metals, steel pots and pans, batteries, plastics not labelled #1-7, plasticized or waxed materials, laminated materials, tissues and paper towel, mirrors, windows, broken glass, ceramics, Pyrex, lightbulbs, glass, drinking glasses, hazardous waste, wood waste.
